The apple sauce recipe is a mouthwatering dish made of peeled and diced apple, cinnamon, lemon juice, water, dried cranberries and raisins, brown sugar and apricot jam. The apple is sliced into medium pieces. The pieces are then placed on a pan and the lemon juice, water and cinnamon are added. The mixture is then stirred thoroughly. The dried raisins and cranberries follow, this is allowed to cook for a period of five minutes. The brown sugar is added, and the heat is lowered as the apricot jam follows. The mixture is allowed to cook for an extra minute.

The quick baked beans with smoked bacon, is prepared using the following ingredients, thin sliced bacon, two onions, three cans of baked beans, half cup of catsup, two tablespoons of brown sugar and a tablespoon of dry mustard. The bacon is fried till brown for approximately seven minutes. The bacon is then drained using paper towels. The oil that was used to fry the bacon is reduced, and then the onions are added. When the onions start sticking on the bottom of the pan, it is time to add the beans, dry mustard, cooked bacon, and catsup. The mixture is then transferred to a casserole and baked, less than 350° to a point when the beans begin to bubble. This process takes about 40 minutes. The dish is served hot.

Another interesting dried food recipe is the corned beef potato cake. This meal is prepared with four cups of diced potatoes, hot quarter cup of milk, A teaspoon of kosher salt, half a teaspoon of black pepper, quarter cup of flour, two tablespoons of butter, half a cup of flour, half a cup of diced corned beef, a tablespoon of onion powder, beaten egg and finely chopped chives. The potatoes are boiled in salty water for a period of about ten minutes till they become tender. They are thereafter drained using a colander. The potatoes, together with warm milk, kosher salt and black pepper are run through a mixer. After this, the flour, melted butter, corned beef and onion powder are added. The ingredients are thoroughly mixed and an egg is added as the mixer proceeds with the dough. The dough is then scooped to make equal cakes. The butter is then added to a clean frying pan and a non stick spray is used to protect the cakes from sticking on to the pan. Both sides of the cake are fried till brown and the chives, sprinkled all over. Are you interested with more dried food recipes?
